Welcome to my academic homepage! My name is Obinna Anike, and I am a PhD Candidate at the Institute of Environmental and Chemical Engineering at the University of Pardubice. My research is driven by a passion for addressing critical global water quality challenges through advanced chemical engineering solutions. Specifically, I focus on the removal of emerging contaminants, such as pharmaceuticals and antibiotics, from wastewater, aiming to develop highly efficient and sustainable water purification technologies that protect both public health and our ecosystems.
My core expertise lies in the experimental analysis and modeling of membrane separation processes, particularly utilizing commercially available nanofiltration membranes. Over the past few years, my work has progressed from the experimental separation of antibiotics to the comparative modeling of caffeine and paracetamol removal using advanced computational tools like Artificial Neural Networks (ANN) and Response Surface Methodology (RSM). This research, published in peer-reviewed journals such as Membranes and the Journal of Water Process Engineering between 2024 and 2026, aims to deeply analyze how process parameters influence pharmaceutical separation. I invite you to explore my website to learn more about my research, publications, and academic journey.
